No detail was left to chance. Aesthetic language of essential and dynamic lines have been used to complete the body shape of the S9.

In 2020 Silk-FAW Joint Venture was formed by Silk EV, American automotive engineering and design company who acquired the majority of shares, and FAW, China’s largest automotive manufacturer.
Our aim is to develop a series of ultra-luxury, high-performance, hybrid and electric cars.
Thanks to our international know-how combined with Italian craftsmanship we are setting a new benchmark in the global automotive ecosystem.

Jonathan Krane is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of KraneShares, a $16 Billion asset management firm delivering China-focused exchange traded funds to global investors listed on the NYSE, and the founder of SilkEV, an international company specializing in automotive engineering and design. KraneShares focuses on providing expert access and products for investors to gain exposure to China’s capital markets. KraneShares sold a majority interest in the company to CICC, a leading investment bank in China. Jonathan has spent the last twenty years working with companies in China.
He previously founded a leading media and entertainment company in China that was sold to a publicly traded multi-national corporation.
Jonathan received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Connecticut College. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization.

Giovanni Lamorte is Chief Financial Officer of Silk-FAW and has over 35 years of experience in the automotive sector, specifically in the Finance, Administration and Controlling departments of multinational groups.
Before joining the joint venture, he worked for many years as CFO and Industrial Control at Federal Mogul Italy and PMC SPA, two multinational companies in the Automotive sector.
Previously, he had a long working experience in MAGNETTO AUTOMOTIVE SpA, where he held roles such as Director of Management Control, Head of the development of new strategic projects (M&A) and Strategic Industrial Controller.
Giovanni Lamorte holds two Masters, one in Business Administration and the other in Digital Organization from S.A.A. of Turin.

Mr. Francesco De Santis has gained significant managerial experience: he has been General Manager of Business Unit, Director of Technologies, Operations Manager, Joint Venture industrial Director in various product contexts in Italy and abroad.
Before joining Silk-FAW as Vice President and Head of Program Management, he worked at the Jaguar Land Rover group UK as Strategic Consultant in the Manufacturing Engineering area.
De Santis has 30 years of experience in the automotive (OEM & first level suppliers: General Motors, Fiat, Magnetto Automotive) and aerospace (OEM: Piaggio Aero Industries) sectors, where he managed numerous strategic and operational projects.
After a degree in electrical and information engineering from the Polytechnic of Bari, he earned an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management where he is now undertaking a PhD on the topics of sustainable development and Corporate Sustainability.
